The importance of being there – at Nordic’s biggest electrotech trade fair

Ambition, innovation and relationship were the keywords when Elektroskandia Sverige took part in “Elfack” in Göteborg over an intensive week in May. “Elfack” is Nordic’s biggest trade fair in the electrical technology industry with around 450 exhibitors and close to 30,000 visitors.

Just like last year, Elektroskandia’s aim was to bring people together in an innovation way. It was a big success. Around one quarter of visitors to the fair took the opportunity to check out Elektroskandia’s stand. The stand was styled in clean lines, with the emphasis on displaying the company’s own brands in lighting, telecom, data and security, along with its whitegoods brand Cylinda.
Prior to the fair, Elektroskandia had invited selected customers to attend Elfack. Travel was arranged from over 15 locations, mostly in southern Sweden. Because relationships are extremely important, Elektroskandia also held a banquet with selected suppliers in conjunction with the fair. Around 1300 people per day enjoyed the entertainment, food and drink served in the adjacent fun park, Liseberg. Those who were inclined could also take a ride on the park’s world-renowned roller coaster.
“We’ve been working with the same concept for the fair for some years now that gives a lot to many,” says sales director Johan Stille, who was very pleased with the great response that this year’s participants in Elfack received. “We’re now focusing on following up on and summarizing all the customer and supplier contacts,” he continues.
