The new headquarters represents an upgrade in both space and capabilities for Brook, which increased its square footage by over 100,000 sq. ft., and went from having a total of 4 shipping docks to 16 at the new location.
“The additional square footage will support the continued growth and expansion that Brook has experienced throughout the entire Chicago metro area,” said Mike Wall, President of Brook Electrical Distribution. “Additionally, our new headquarters is strategically located in a central location to our delivery territory, which provides more flexibility when serving customers in all locations around Chicago.”
The new headquarters is equipped with energy-efficient lighting throughout the entire facility, with occupancy sensor technology installed in each office for additional energy savings.
In addition to the new corporate headquarters, Brook has announced the grand opening of a new operation in Libertyville, IL. The new branch currently employs six associates, and occupies 4,900 sq. ft. Conveniently located in a high-traffic retail strip mall, the new location officially opened on May 12, 2008.
“As we continue to expand our footprint, we will look to serve and support our customers’ many different needs,” said Wall. “This new branch is convenient and accessible, and could serve as a template for similar locations in the future.”
