A fruitful collaboration BAK, Elektram’s customer, Sonepar Deutschland
Specialized in the building, BAK, Elektram’s customer, Sonepar Deutschland’s subsidiary, offers key-ready construction work. The company has some 900 employees and works in the field of residential and industrial buildings.

From the last past years, BAK has been a very successful company and won many awards within the Czech economy. In 1998 BAK was included in the list of the best companies operating in the respective sector – “Czech TOP 100” contest. In 2001 our company was listed on the 1st place on the list of “100 Admired Czech Companies” in the sector of civil engineering. In 2003 our company obtained the “Award for an environmentally friendly construction project” for the Surgery Pavilion of the District Hospital of Jicin, in the North-East of Czeck Republic, says Jan Krejcar, Manager of construction and electric fittings at BAK.
Sonepar: What makes BAK a. s. successful?
Jan Krejcar: The know-how of our technicians and constructors as well as the top quality of the crafts allow us to offer customers a complete service portfolio, take over any construction work and complete it in accordance with any given specifications. We have four branches in Czech Republic and a subsidiary in Slovakia.
Sonepar: And what is your view of the cooperation with Elektram?
J.K.: One of our big projects was the construction of the District Hospital Jicin. The project started in 1996 and ende in 2003. We reconstructed the hospital complex including an annex, pavilions and operation halls. Elektram delivered distributors, cables, switches and lighting.
Elektram co-operated with us in many other projects such as schools, large apartment houses, manufacturing enterprises and other building objects. The electrical material was delivered in time and in the quality requested. In addition, Elektram provides technical support, i. E. information about products, lighting planning etc. We are satisfied with the work of Elektram and rely on this fruitful co-operation for the coming years.
