Sonepar Polska, number one on the Polish market
Ryszard D’Antoni, Chairman-CEO of Alfa-Elektro
The year 2005 was a milestone for Sonepar Polska, particularly because of the finalization of the merger between Alfa-Electro and Elmax, which has spawned a profitable operational company and market leader, Alfa-Elektro.

Branch development and re-organization Five new branches opened in 2005, including two in eastern Poland, where there were none before. We merged four branches into two stronger units in order to better adapt to local markets. That effort has paid off: three of the new branches were already profitable by the end of the year.
Improving our logistics In 2005, we showed our customers and competitors our desire and ability to keep our top position on the Polish market. Meanwhile, we laid the groundwork for our future by substantially improving our logistics, thanks to the nearest opening of a new warehouse.
2006, an eventful year The 2005 results outperformed expectations and constitute an excellent base for our growth in 2006. The year under way will be eventful. In particular, we will celebrate Alfa-Elektro’s 10th anniversary as part of the Sonepar group. Our whole team is proud of contributing to this shared success.
