Sonepar: Why do you think Hispanofil has been so successful?
Luis Arconada: Success is a concept that’s hard to define, but on a day like today I can tell you that our success lies in reaching the age of 25 feeling totally confident about the future. Men and women achieved that success through their motivation and hard work.
We also owe our success to our customers’ support and our customer strategy, to a clear relationship with our main suppliers based on a creative partnership and Sonepar’s unwavering support of Hispanofil.
Sonepar: What strategy has guided Hispanofil in the past few years?
L. A: A clear definition of our goals, perseverance in staying on course, steady efforts, the constant concern with guaranteeing everybody a future, the desire to continuously adapt our work to changing needs while anticipating future trends, daily attention to the quality of working conditions, a close relationship between managers and associates however far apart our branches may be.
Sonepar: To what extent is a company’s success the personal success of its director?
L. A: Everybody at Hispanofil can consider this success a personal success. When the key to a company’s success lies in its associates, everybody must be aware of his or her contribution to achieving it. If none of the players can do it alone, a team without one of its members cannot do better.
Sonepar: What does Hispanofil’s 25th anniversary mean to you?
L. A: It’s tremendously fulfilling, a fantastic opportunity to cast a spotlight on all the work accomplished over the past 25 years, a particular tribute to everybody who made that success possible, but also an opportunity to present Hispanofil as a company that’s all at once young and experienced, serious and energetic, mature and committed.
Sonepar: What will be Hispanofil’s future strategy?
L. A: In a context of increasingly fierce competition, our goal is to be more and more useful to society in general and to our customers and suppliers in particular. Your question deserves an in-depth answer, but I’d simply say that our associates and their relationships will remain our strong suit, whatever the new technologies taking shape on the horizon. Our teams’ drive, training and mobilization are basic values for continuing our growth.
What’s more, we have to constantly update our logistical capacities to meet the needs of markets and customers.
