At the end of the nineties the family-led Racca Elettroforniture Industriali represented the biggest wholesaler of electrical material of the island. At the age of 25, with a BA degree of the San Diego University, Andrea starts working with his father, taking the charge of the modernisation and reorganisation of the company and with this view personally follows in 1999 the negotiations to transform Racca into Sonepar Sardegna. One testing year as general manager, then starts for him a four-years period as employee in Sonepar Italia as e-business and DIY manager and as member and then chairman of the Sonepar Junior Committee, keeping a board function in Sonepar Sardegna.
These years have represented for my personal growth a real training course says Andrea with evident enthusiasm. I believe that the SJC experience in particular has had a university value for me, opening my mind and showing me different and alternative visions. Theory on the one side and practice on the other have taught him a lot, preparing him for his actual challenging function as General Manager.
Today Andrea has the responsibility of five outlets located from south to north in all the four main towns of the island, Cagliari, Oristano, Nuoro and Sassari. With almost 20% of market share, Sonepar Sardegna is appreciated above other things for the high technical support and reliable commercial assistance supplied to its customers, in particular in the lighting and industrial sectors.
To learn and improve have since always been my personal motto says Andrea and with this spirit I intend to continue to display my efforts for the growth of Sonepar and myself.
Thirty-nine years old, married, two children and an unbridled passion for water which means rarely does a month go by, summer or winter, without a swim or dive in the sea.
