“Long live our ambitions” was the theme of the event, which aimed to help the managers plan the Sonepar France 2007-2009 Business Project and communicate the Steering Committee’s thoughts on the necessary changes to make. It also gave Mr. Stourm an opportunity to introduce his successor, Patrick Salvadori, who will be head of Sonepar France starting on October 1, 2006.
Part one of the convention focused on a customer survey’s findings, market trends, competition in France, suppliers, and Mr. Stourm’s presentation of the main challenges facing Sonepar France over the next three years.
Part two highlighted the need to develop the quality of our service and boost the teams’ responsiveness and speed. In an increasingly competitive environment where the concentration of suppliers is growing, customer demand is shifting towards more advice, useful training and individualized relationships. As a result, Mr. Salvadori said, “the sales offer must be easier for customers to read, backed up by better associate training and supported by more powerful tools at their disposal. That is how we will increase customer satisfaction and establish Sonepar’s leadership in France on a long-term basis.”
In conclusion, Sonepar Chairman and CEO Marie-Christine Coisne-Roquette warmly congratulated Mr. Stourm and the audience on the professionalism and passion that they put into their work on a daily basis. “So many projects completed, under way and in the planning stages! So many reasons to forge ahead when there is so much at stake and so many skills! The future of France is in your hands.”
