On February 1st, 2007, Cebeo, a subsidiary of Sonepar Belgium, completed the acquisition of Unilectric, a full-line distributor of electrical equipment headquartered in Wavre, a city in the Brabant region near Brussels.
With 130 employees at five locations, Unilectric is present in Wallonia and the Brussels area. The company handles both conventional distribution and distribution to home improvement megastores.
This acquisition will provide Cebeo with a larger footprint on the Belgian market through an expanded offer of products and services.
