Sonepar: What are the main strengths of Cebeolightstudios?
Freddy Denys: Cebeo has an enormous range of lighting products, including no fewer than 50 major brands, many of which can be seen in Cebeolightstudio showrooms. In addition, 60 professional lighting specialists are on hand to provide advice to customers. The Cebeolightstudio is therefore more like a workspace than a sales outlet. We invite customers – installers and project managers – into a suitable environment that enables them to plan and frame their projects. The Cebeolightstudio is therefore somewhere they can obtain information about lighting or visualize the architectural form and colour of fixtures. That’s essential for this kind of approach. Lastly, all those involved find what they need there – Cebeo, our suppliers, and also installers, who are able to increase their sales by drawing on our knowledge and the facilities available in Cebeolightstudios. Lighting can turn out to be an important factor, contributing to significant project-cost increases in terms of electrical equipment.
Sonepar: The world of lighting is highly dynamic. Is that the impression visitors get when they visit a Cebeolightstudio?
F. D.: Absolutely. Our partners are continually bringing out new equipment that can be viewed in Cebeolightstudios. We are witnessing the development of new technology and techniques in lighting, domains that not all installers have yet managed to master. In this respect, one just has to think of LED lighting, which is evolving on an almost day-to-day basis. Cebeolightstudio specialists are more prepared than ever to support them in this area.
Sonepar: Finally, just how unique is the Cebeolightstudio concept in the electrical technology sector?
F. D.: Cebeo isn’t the only distributor to have a showroom for its customers. We are, however, the only one to own a network of nine – soon to be 11 – showrooms throughout the country, and in various places, you’ll also find demonstration spaces for home automation and experimental LED rooms.
