In terms of logistics, Cebeo will be giving top priority in 2008 to reliable, punctual delivery within 24 hours.
Cebeo has been investing heavily in logistics over the last few years. The reason is obvious: customers want to receive their orders at the worksite, and fast. As long as the products they’ve ordered haven’t arrived, contractors can’t move forward.
Through 2008, logistics will continue to be the cornerstone of Cebeo’s customer relationships. With 35,000 different items in stock at all times in its Distribution Center, Cebeo can reliably perform its job as distributor.
Products picked from the storeroom to fill orders can be delivered within 24 hours. Customers can even place order until 7 p.m. via Cebeo’s e-shop. More than 100 logistics associates are there to get orders ready. The result is that at sunrise, some 40 trucks set out to deliver the goods.
Exactly where they are delivered is up to the customer—to the worksite, the customer’s business premises or a Cebeo subsidiary where the order can be picked up. In fact, branches are also supplied by the Cebeo Distribution Center (CDC).
Given the huge stock of items at the CDC, Cebeo’s rapid delivery capabilities and the wide variety of products available at sales outlets, customers don’t need to stockpile. And that translates into major cost savings.
