The 3RD edition of Barcameniamoci was a great success. The promotional event, held in the end of may, organized by Sonepar Italia, involved almost 100 customers, suppliers sponsor and all the managers of the company. All the sector together got together in order to compete and to try wining this match race*.
13 boats, sailing together in the Gulf of Neaples was a very striking view. The customers from all the Italian opcoms, have been involved during 4 days, living on board, spending the whole day improving their sailing skills thanks to the help of professional skippers. Finally the match, exciting and amusing, able to strengthen the relationships of the teams and declare the winner, Philips team, awarded in a special evening on the beach.
Next year the cup will be offered as prize again, in the new edition of Barcameniamoci.
* A match race is a duel between two identical boats, composed of three legs between two marks aligned with the wind’s axis. The boats first sail upwind, compelling the crews to tack. In the run back, they sail downwind.
