This year, Technische Unie hosted the event. “A perfect opportunity to inform all these Baderie franchisees about the advantage s of working with Technische Unie”, says Steef Hallegraeff, Regional Manager, Central Region.
For Baderie, Technische Unie has significant benefits. “We operate on the basis of a total concept,” says Steef. “We can supply Baderie with all the products it needs. Our provision of services is also expanding to meet Baderie’s requirements. In the market for sanitary products, the key is the care with which each step in the process is carried out. It all has to be done right the first time; otherwise, a showroom operator can quickly see profits turn to losses. With Technische Unie on the job, everything runs smoothly. We handle fragile materials with care, we make complete deliveries as arranged in advance, and we have a full line of products including materials for installation contractors. We can also respond effectively to the specific needs of a national account like Baderie. Recently, for example, we added a new line of taps exclusively for Baderie.”

The Baderie Day started on 19 May with a private meeting of shareholders held in a hotel in Oosterbeek. It was then time for a presentation made by Technische Unie introduced by Yvan Dejaeghere, Chief Executive of Technische Unie. Wim van Rixtel, the company’s Director of National Accounts and Commercial Projects, then talked about the teamwork between Technische Unie and Baderie and about the possibilities of aligning the provision of services even better with the needs of showroom operators. Bart Schoonderwoerd, Director of Logistics, explained the building of a DPS (Dynamic Picking System) at the Distribution Centre in Alphen aan den Rijn. According to Steef, it was “very important for the client to understand these aspects. We showed that our supply process will be relating even better to the processes of our Baderie clients, both in regard to sales and installing bathrooms.”
Jules Verne
After the presentation, the Baderie franchisees, their partners, and the staff of Baderie’s central organisation were received on the Jules Verne that was moored for this occasion in Oosterbeek. Once aboard Technische Unie’s EXPO ship, they could admire a number of handsome arrangements featuring the newest products being made for the Signatuur line, Baderie’s own brand of products. Every Baderie franchisee received a copy of the brand-new Technische Unie Baderie guide containing all the items in its own line of products. The programme ended with an enjoyable cruise including a dinner dance.
