 The 32nd America's Cup
The America's Cup is back in Europe for the first time in 150 years! To wrap up the 2005 season, the 32nd America’s Cup went to Italy for Louis Vuitton Act 8. The Cup’s 8th Act* took place from September 27 to October 8 2005 in the Mediterranean between Egadi and the town of Trapani. Migliore Sonepar actively took part in the restructuring work in Trapani.

To organize a sporting event on this magnitude, Trapani, which is located on the western end of Sicily, had to develop large infrastructures to accommodate boats, competitors and spectators. Many local companies participated in setting up the new facilities. In particular, Migliore Sonepar contributed its expertise by supplying and installing, through its Trapani branch, almost all of the electrical equipment required for the restructuring work in the town and port zone (quays, paddocks).
The climax of the race will take place in 2007 with the Louis Vuitton Cup, whose winner will compete in the America's Cup Match.
