In these uncertain times, Sacchi looks to the future upon the reopening on Ponte Morandi.

In the summer of 2018, during a torrential rainstorm, the midsection of the Ponte Morandi viaduct in Genoa collapsed. Marcello Musso recalled, “I have travelled along this bridge at least 10,000 times in the past 30 years, and on August 14th, 2018, I saw it collapse. I was utterly speechless. I watched the breaking news on TV and prayed for the number of victims to stop rising.”

He continued, “Right after the collapse, my colleagues and I set up all the equipment needed to house the judicial evidence during the investigation. Thereafter when construction of the new bridge began, my team provided cables, emergency lighting products, projectors and headlamps in record time, no matter the time of day. Finally, we were there on April 28th, 2020, installing the red button to sound the bells celebrating the opening of the new bridge, designed by Renzo Piano. I look at it and I see hope and strength, our strength. We're Italians and we will always pull ourselves back together. We did it in Genoa in 2018 and we will do it again today."
