The 17 Goals are all interconnected, and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that all entities achieve them all by 2030.

 

Last month, we highlighted the fantastic efforts Sonepar Ibérica is making in order to meet the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. These goals address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The 17 Goals are all interconnected, and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that all entities achieve them all by 2030. This month, Sonepar Ibérica is focussing on the goal ‘Decent Work and Economic Growth’.

Sonepar Ibérica guarantees fair and safe working conditions for all its associates, promoting inclusive and equal opportunities for all, further more, 95% of the company’s associates are on indefinite contracts. The Human Resources team at Sonepar Ibérica are also fervant in their support of employing associates from minority backgrounds. Earlier this year, the company opened a counseling program to anyone who may be finding the current circumstances especially difficult. This service is part of Sonepar Ibérica’s Wellness Program and is given by their Personnel Selection Manager, who is also a clinical psychologist.
