WitJoint has devoted a lot of time and energy to help support their customers and work together to contribute to the production of masks in China.
As there has been a huge shortage of masks available in China, automobile, petrochemical, electronics and other industries have shifted their production lines to start producing masks. As such, WitJoint (one of Sonepar’s opco in China), has devoted a lot of time and energy to help support their customers and work together to contribute to the production of masks.
One of WitJoint’s customers, Hengchang, wanted to increase the productivity of its machines. WitJoint’s Account Manager learned the news and immediately reported the request to the company.
In half a day, they worked out a complete full-service drive solution for the customer. WitJoint’s technical team worked closely with Hengchang engineers. In only 48 hours, they completed the design job.
During the outbreak, it was a challenge to deliver goods to customers due to severe traffic disruption. WitJoint and Rockwell Automation worked together to distribute, despite the cost. Finally, they met the Hengchang’s requirement and delivered all products on time.
On 1st March 2020, Hengchang told us that their first high-speed automated medical flat mask production equipment had been successfully delivered. The new production rate reached 500 masks pers minute, compared to an average of 120 masks per minute.
It only took 20 days from when the research and development started until the masks were put on sale. "Our fully automatic mask machine is an integrated production equipment with ear welding, replacing traditional ear ropes with elastic fabrics for comfortable wear,” said Hengchang's Technical Director.
At present, the production of Hengchang’s mask machine is still in a race against time. However, Witjoint remains fully committed to supporting other customers to increase their production equipment to a rate of 600-1000 mask per minute.
