Ambitious Growth
Sonepar has built an undisputed leadership position in B2B electrical product distribution, systems, and services thanks to a unique combination of being family-owned, having a long-term horizon, best-in-class leadership, an engaged workforce, and demanding corporate governance.
Sonepar's strategic plan is driven by the acceleration of global electrification and the development of renewable energies. It is based on four pillars: Performance, Customers, People, and Planet.
We are investing more than €2.5 billion in automating our supply chain and a further €1 billion in our global digital platform to deliver perfect orders to our customers daily while reducing our environmental impact.
Acquisitions
Acquisitions are a key element of Sonepar's growth strategy as the Group emphasizes balanced growth over the next five years, with around 60% organic growth and 40% growth via acquisitions.
In 2024, Sonepar completed 17 acquisitions, incorporating both generalist and specialist companies, representing an unprecedented revenue of €2.2Bn.
Omnichannel Experience
Sonepar's ambition is to become the world’s first B2B electrical equipment distributor to offer a synchronized omnichannel experience by customer segment and product category.
It’s also about making our associates' lives easier – 20,000 field and office-based sales associates in a network of nearly 2,400 branches worldwide – easier to interact, easier to buy or return products, and easier to arrange financing. This means providing them with the contextual data they need to attract prospects and optimize their conversion and retention rates.
Supply Chain Modernization
We are automating and standardizing our logistics platforms to make them the best in the industry.
This means both increasing our storage capacity and accelerating site automation using robotics and the Internet of Things. At Sonepar, logistics is a strategic strength, with 10,000 associates, more than 190 distribution centers (1.5 million square meters of warehouse space).
