Lighting renovation: Avignon's administrative district

15.07.2025

In 2018, the French government launched the “State Administrative District Plan.” The goal was to reduce the energy footprint of public buildings in a context of global warming and soaring energy prices.

To this end, a renovation program involving nearly 40 French administrative centers was set up. Among them, the Avignon administrative center launched a renovation project in May 2023 focused on building lighting. In charge of the project, our electrical installation customers SET and Elergie approached the teams at our exclusive brand LIT by Cardi to carry out this operation.

They selected our LIT by Cardi LED luminaires, renowned for their performance, reliability, ease of installation, and longevity. These products were also combined with sensors for intelligent lighting management, thanks to presence detection and automatic dimming.

When asked about their experience, SET and Elergie emphasized that “these luminaires are easy to install and high quality, as well as guaranteeing a certain level of energy efficiency.” These advantages played a decisive role in the smooth running of the project.

For Karim BENAOUDA, Sales Manager at Sonepar France, it reflects our vision: “This project perfectly illustrates our commitment to supporting our customers with sustainable, high-performance and easy-to-deploy lighting solutions—which is exactly what we have been able to demonstrate here with LIT by Cardi.”

In total, nearly 5,000 LIT by Cardi products have been installed in the Avignon administrative center.
