Modernizing healthcare IT: Mouscron, Belgium
Hospitals are investing heavily in modernization, and Mouscron Hospital Center is leading the way. The hospital recently built a brand-new data center to ensure reliability, efficiency, and scalability for its healthcare operations.
Objectives included upgrading the network, creating a future-proof data center, and minimizing disruption during migration.
Together, Cebeo, SPIE, and Panduit partnered to provide solutions including NetContain® aisle containment, FlexFusion™ cabinets, G5 power distribution units, intelligent rack security handles with humidity sensors, Wyr-Grid® and FiberRunner™ cable trays, and QuickNet™ pre-terminated copper and fiber solutions.
Benefits delivered were improved reliability and efficiency, future-proof infrastructure, energy efficiency, and easier management through standardization.
The migration was gradual and tightly organized to avoid downtime. “Reliability and efficiency are crucial,” said Jérémie Leleu, Technical Manager at CH Mouscron. The project also prioritized energy management and sustainability, ensuring long-term operational stability.
Driving data center growth in Malaysia
Sonepar has also been instrumental in deploying advanced data center solutions that meet stringent efficiency and safety standards in Malaysia.
- At Cyberjaya Campus, four facilities span six acres with 31 MW IT load across 43,000 sqm. The site is certified by Uptime Institute Tier III, TVRA, and PCI-DSS. Sonepar supplied PLC hardware and software for centralized monitoring of HVAC, lighting, and security.
- At Elmina Business Park, a 49-acre site will offer 100 MW IT power capacity for major cloud services. Sonepar provided test and measurement equipment for installation and predictive maintenance.
- At Nusajaya Tech Park, Phase 1 includes three facilities totaling 69.5 MW IT power capacity, built in 12 months. Sonepar delivered a busway system to reduce labor and speed up installation.
